If it's not heaven we step into when we arrive at Hotel Valldemossa, then it's certainly not far off. The hotel has an enormous amount of charm and character and exudes cosiness, welcome, and a large dose of calm and luxury.
In Valldemossa, you are closer to heaven than anywhere else on the island. At least, that's how it feels; the atmosphere, the calm, and the picturesque mountain village surrounded by magnificent mountains spread a sense of peace. The monastery that proudly stands in the centre of the village perhaps also contributes to the heavenly connection.
Hotel Valldemossa is housed in an old country estate situated on a hill just a stone's throw from the old monastery. The view is truly breathtaking.
The estate has been completely renovated with the aim of recreating what once existed, and they have truly succeeded. An extension has also been added to provide space for more rooms.
There are three different types of rooms available: suites of 55 sqm, Junior Suites of 35-40 sqm, and finally Double Superior which are 25-30 sqm. All individually decorated and with a lot of charm and a high 'cosy factor'.
With an entrance from the main building itself, there are 4 individually decorated rooms, while the others have their own entrance to each room.
All rooms have air conditioning and WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
This is not a hotel to visit with children; this is a romantic, exclusive hotel where you can cherish each other in the best possible way.
The exquisite restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast buffet that focuses on local products and uses fresh ingredients, freshly baked warm bread, and eggs that are almost still on the country estate where they were collected earlier that morning.
In the lush garden, there is a substantial pool. A completely ordinary rectangular pool without a jet stream or wave machine. Simply for going down and enjoying the cooling it offers on warm summer days.
A small spa is available for those who want spa treatments, but otherwise, it's mostly about soaking up the atmosphere, seizing the day, and enjoying.
